How to Cook White Clam Sauce Recipe

Take a large pot and fill with water. Add some salt in it and when the water starts boiling add some linguine pasta in it. Boil the pasta until it becomes tender. Stain the pasta and place it aside.

Take a large skillet and add some olive oil and garlic in it. Add liquids from the clams, the white wine and some salt. Mix together all the ingredients well. Bring the mixture to boil and than cook it on high flame for about 10 minutes or until the liquid is reduce to half by evaporation. If there is still more liquid than its okay.

Stir in the clams and parsley and heat it for some time. When they are heated through than reduce the flame of the stove. Add cooked and boiled pasta in the sauce. Toss the pasta for sometime over low flame so that sauce is mixed properly in the pasta. Let the pasta absorb some of the sauce but not all. Serve by your favorite sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1  package linguine pasta
  • 3  cans minced clams juice drained
  • 1/4 cup oil (I preferred to use olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic 
  • 1 cup clam juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley 
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • Crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

Notes/Tips

  • To reheat the White Clam Sauce simply just place the sauce in microwave and heat for 2 minutes. Add few drops of wine in it while heating. After heating stir it properly and it is ready to use.
  • The recipe is good enough to fill to pin jars. You can use the one half and store the other half for some other day use.
  • You can adjust the thickness of the sauce. If the sauce is to thick than you can add more wine in it to make it thinner and if it is too thin than add some more pasta in it to give it creamy texture.
  • Take a lot of care while cooking/heating wine because over heating may burn the sauce.
