Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250g) All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Warm water
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons, melted Butter for brushing
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh herbs (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

    In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

    Add yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon until combined.

    Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms. You may not need all the water.

    Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic.

    If adding herbs or garlic powder, knead them into the dough at this stage.

    Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball.

    Cover the dough balls with a damp cloth and let rest for 10 minutes.

    Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Do not add oil.

    Roll out each dough ball into a thin circle, about 6-7 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick.
