This recipe is copycat of restaurant style Company Potatoes. This recipe includes simple and easy steps even it includes only few steps from start to end. You do not need to spend hours in the kitchen now! just spare less than 30 minutes and Company Potatoes is ready to be in your tummy.
You can use manufactured cream of chicken soup or you can try this at your home. For making cream of chicken soup at home. take a large sauce pan and melt butter in it. Add flour in the sauce pan and stir together until mixture of butter and flour mixes together. Gradually mix in chicken broth and milk in the mixture. Keep on stirring until a smooth mixture is formed. Bring the cream sauce to boil and keep on stirring until the sauce thickens. Remove the sauce from heat.
Preheat the oven at temperature of 350 degree. Take 9 x 15 inch baking pan and slightly grease it with oil. In a large bowl add hash brown potatoes, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, cheddar cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Now combine the sour cream sauce prepared in first step in the bowl. Mix the ingredients well to form a smooth mixture. Spread this mixture on the baking tray, Crush the cornflakes into small pieces and cover the mixture in baking tray with these cornflakes. Drizzle the melted butter over the cornflakes placed on the baking tray.
Bake the mixture for 30-35 minutes until mixture is bubbly and soft and cornflakes on the upper coating are golden brown. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
